The U & U Show 395 | #SXSW 2015 Preview 2 of 6

OnlyReal : Can't Get Happy : Jerk At The End Of The Line (2015)
-          2nd single from his just announced debut LP.
-          No title for the album yet, but it is already one of my most anticipated albums of 2015.
-          Over the past couple years Niall Galvin has released some of the catchiest indie pop under his OnlyReal moniker.
-          SXSW 2015.

Father John Misty : Heart Shaped Box (Nirvana Cover) (2015)
-          J Tillman's 2nd album under this alias, 'I Love You, Honeybear', was just out.
-          Former member of the Fleet Foxes who hasn’t really put out any solo work that's impressed me until his Father John Misty work.
-          Big Jason Molina feeling to the slower tracks on this album.
-          SXSW 2015?

Ben Kweller : Falling : Sha Sha (2002)
-          Debut album.
-          Indie pop/rock singer songwriter that's been making extremely consistent, not overly ground breaking records since the debut.
-          6th full length, Go Fly A Kite, was an unexpected treat in 2012.

The U & U Show 381 | Look Who Just Turned 8!

Wolf Parade : I'll Believe In Anything : Apologies To The Queen Mary (2005)
-          Debut LP of 3.
-          One of the greatest independent rock bands of the past 20 years.
-          Led by Spencer Krug (Moonface, Sunset Rubdown) and Dan Boeckner (Handsome Furs, Divine Fits, Operators)
-          One of my favorite songs.

Heart-Ships : Heart of a Wrestler : Foil (2014)
-          Debut LP.
-          Debut EP, EP1 was a highlight of 2013.
-          Reminiscent of Modest Mouse and Frog Eyes, but most for the still-wounded Wolf Parade fans.
-          "You've taken some heavy hits in your time, you've been in some fierce grips, but the heart of a wrestler never submits.

The U & U Show 365 | Dan Boeckner's Back... Again!

Operators : True (2014)
-          First single from Dan Boeckner’s (Wolf Parade, Handsome Furs & Divine Fits) latest project.
-          I just attended their ‘5th or 6th’ concert and it came off like a big blend of LCD Sounsystem and Handsome Furs.

Jack White : I Think I Found The Culprit : Lazaretto (2014)
-       2nd solo album out June 9
-       Bringing more of the older, more aggressive style White Stripes' fans were used to.
-       Hi solo debut, 2012's Blunberbuss was a much slower, folkier album.
