Sufjan Stevens : Should Have Known Better : Carrie and Lowell (2015)
-          I believe it's officially his forthcoming 6th album, but he's also but out numerous other compilations and releases from side projects.
-          One of the most talented musicians that I've been able to enjoy every step of the way.
-          This first teaser sounds like a hope-elevating return to his early stripped back folk days.



Tame Impala : Let It Happen (2015)
-          First single from forthcoming 3rd LP.
-          By far the most dance-y track to date. Sounds more like Daft Punk than their previous music.
-          Innerspeaker & Lonerism have been two of the best Beatles-leaning vintage psych rock albums of the past few years.
-          One of the leading forces of the Perth, AUS psych rock scene.

 

The Mountain Goats : Heel Turn 2 : Beat The Champ (2015)
-          Pro wrestling-themed 15th album.
-          Led by John Darnielle.
-          Continually (and deservedly) considered one of the best lyricists in music.
-          Thoughtful, poignant, brutal, and self-evisceratingly honest.



Anthony D'Amato : Was A Time : The Shipwreck From The Shore (2014)
-          Debut album.
-          NYC alt-country/folk musician.
-          RIYL Josh Ritter
-          SXSW 2015



Possessed By Paul James : Where Does All The Time Go : There Will Be Nights When I'm Lonely (2013)
-          6th album.
-          One-Man-Band out of Austin, TX.
-          SXSW 2015



Modest Mouse : Shit In Your Cut : Strangers to Ourselves (2015)
-          6th album and first in 8 years.
-          Led by Isaac Brock.
-          Just re-released their first two albums at the end of 2014.
-          One of the best bands of the 2000's



Iceage : The Lord's Favorite : Plowing Into the Field of Love (2014)
-          3rd LP
-          Highly critically acclaimed Danish punk rock band.
-          SXSW 2015



The Twilight Sad : Cold Days From The Birdhouse : Fourteen Autumns And Fifteen Winters (2007)
-          Debut album of 4.
-          Scottish band that led to groups like Frightened Rabbit and We Were Promised Jetpacks.
-          SXSW 2015



Mikal Cronin : ii) Gold : MCIII (2015)
-          Forthcoming 3rd album.
-          One of the best songwriters going writing vintage beachy psych rock/pop.
-          Also in a surf-punk band called the Moonhearts & Ty Segall's backing band, just like Ty's in Mikal's band.



Terry Malts : I Do : Killing Time (2012)
-          Debut LP of 2.
-          SF garage power punk-pop.
-          SXSW 2015



JEFF the Brotherhood : Mind Ride : Heavy Days (2010)
-          5th album (I think?) or what will soon be 8 total.
-          Jake & Jamin Orrall
-          Kraut punk rock. Harder, eclectic rock.
-          Played SXSW and they lead singer & guitarist came out into the crowd, right in front of me and played a solo from his knees for me!
-          SXSW 2015



Girl Band : I Love You (Beat Happening cover) : De Bom Bom b/w I Love You 7" (2014)
-          Debut EP, France 98,is available for free on their BandCamp.
-          Their single, Lawman, is their best song to date.
-          Eractic punk rockers out of Ireland.
-          One of the more exciting and exhilarating punk rock bands I’ve heard in a long time.

-          Innovative, genre-leading post-punk band from England.

-          Rough, dark, bedroom pop.

-          Solo debut LP from White Demin's James Petralli.

-          San Fran catchy noise rock band.
