The Black Angels : Black Grease : Passover (2006)
-          First full length album
-          Formed in 2004 in Austin, TX
-          Interesting feel to it… similar to some of the Black Keys more eerie songs
-          Debut Self Titled EP was released in 2005. 2nd full length out in 2008
-          Austin-based band that has been a staple at SXSW.



Thee Oh Sees : Web : Mutilator Defeated At Last (2015)
-          1st single from  forthcoming LP
-          Prolific San Fran garage psych from John Dwyer.
-          Their last 2 LPs, Floating Coffin and Drop, were two of the best of the past 2 years.
-          One my most highly anticipated SXSW 2015 bands.

 

Tobias Jesso Jr. : Without You : Goon (2015)
-          Forthcoming debut LP.
-          Produced by a Chet JR White of Girls and Patrick Carney of the Black Keys.
-          Only 2 other demos out via YouTube
-          RIYL Nilsson, early Perfume Genius, or early solo Christopher Owens.
-          SXSW 2015



Matthew E. White : Holy Moly : Fresh Blood (2015)
-          2nd album.
-          2012's Big Inner was one of that year's best albums.
-          Gospel, blues, folk musician out of Virginia.
-          SXSW 2015



Langhorne Slim : Hello Sunshine : Langhorne Slim (2008)
-          3rd of 5 LPs. Also has on EP.
-          One of brightest most upbeat folk musicians going.
-          SXSW 2015



Faith Healer : Canonized : Cosmic Troubles (2015)
-          Debut album.
-          Edmonton pop/rock duo.



Morning Teleportation : Eyes the Same : Expanding Anyway (2011)
-          Only album so far.
-          Portland Indie rock band on Modest Mouse leader Isaac Brock's Glacial Pace label.
-          SXSW 2015



Twin Peaks : I Found A New Way : Wild Onion (2014)
-          2nd full length. Also 2 quality singles.
-          Psych rock with an 80’s feel to it.
-          SXSW 2015



Lady Lamb the Beekeeper : Sunday Shoes : After (2015)
-          2nd album
-          5 years of incredible. minor releases on her BandCamp
-          RIYL St. Vincent.
-          One of the rawest, most powerful musicians I've heard in a long time.
-          Aly Spaltro



Steve Gunn : Water Wheel : Time Off (2013)
-          1st album (of 2) with a full band.
-          Also did a collaborative EP with Hiss Golden Messenger entitled Golden Gunn in 2013.
-          Experimental, jammy, classical acoustic guitarist.
-          SXSW 2015



Sun Kil Moon : Ali/Spinks 2 : Universal Themes (2015)
-          2nd single from recently announced new LP.
-          Released an excellent 6th album, Benji, early in 2014.
-          One of the most distinctive voices in independent music.
-          Gorgeous mellow rock with his trademark sleepy vocals.



Spirit Club : Sling : GR004 (2014)
-          Debut single.
-          Side project of Nathan Williams, the leader of the band Wavves (also playing Sx 2015)
-          SXSW 2015



Pompeii : Loom : Loom (2014)
-          3rd LP.
-          Gorgeous, full, cinematic, orchestral indie pop.
-          SXSW 2015



Torres : Strange Hellos : Sprinter (2015)
-          Just announced 2nd album.
-          RIYL Lady Lamb and Sharon Van Etten.

East Cameron Folkcore : The Joke : Kingdom of Fear (2015)
-          Austin band's forthcoming 2d album.
-          Raucous, sometimes angry, rowdy blend of folk and harder rock.
