He is the guitarist here. - Lighter feel than some of my older favorites from them. Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Kurt Vile – In My Time - In My Time EP (2010) - Forthcoming EP. - dreamy pop rock with vocals that bring up thoughts of Devendra Banhart - like Iron & Wine, cut his teeth with lo-fi recordings… this shows up more on ‘God is Saying…’ - Side project from The War on Drugs' lead guitarist. Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine My Jerusalem – Bury It Low - Gone For Good (2010) - debut full length - Members of The Twilight Singers, Great Northern and Polyphonic Spree. - made a big impression at SXSW MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine The Twilight Singers - Martin Eden - Blackberry Belle (2003) - 2nd album - Features Greg Dulli who’s recently collaborated with Mark Lanegan as the Gutter Twins. - You can feel their influence there and in My Jerusalem. Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Matt & Kim - Silver Tiles - Sidewalks (2010) - 3rd album, debut out in 2006, Self-titled. - just added to the Pitchfork Music Fest, which is one of the more relevant festivals you’ll find - keyboard & drums that sound like much more than that… sum of the parts - This album seems to focus on the keyboards/synth even more than before. Less of that full drive backbone of drum found on their last album. Belle & Sebastian, Bishop Allen, Etc. - Weird as can be, but makes some of the catchiest songs. - Vocals remind me of The National’s lead singer Matt Berninger. MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Mr. Gnome – Vampires – Heave Your Skeleton (2009) - 2nd album - Cleveland, OH band - 3rd album is on its way and was recorded in Josh Homme’s studio.
