Night Beds : Hide From It (2014)

-          Led by Winston Yellen.

-          Debut EP
-          This single was released in 2013.
-          RIYL Yeasayer.

Landlady : The Globe : Upright Behavior (2014)
-       Debut album
-       Brooklyn band getting a lot of buzz as they run up to their album release.
-       Incredible vocals that remind me of those of Maps & Atlases.
-       Like Brian Jonestown Massacre or a mellower Velvet Underground

Curtis Harding : Surf : Soul Power (2014)
-          Debut full length, Soul Power.
-          Incredibly promising soul singer that’s readying one of the albums I’m most excited for.
-          Played with Cee-Lo and, currently, with members of the Black Lips in a band called Night Sun (also readying a debut EP)

Megafaun : Get Right : Megafaun (2011)
-       4th album.
-       Psych folk band.

Wooden Wand : Dambuilding : Farmer’s Corner (2014)
-       James Jackson Toth project's forthcoming album.
-       His last album, Blood Oaths of the New Blues, was a Best of the U & U 2013.
-       His track ‘No Bed For Beatle Wand/Days This Long’ was my favorite song of 2013.

Amen Dunes : Lonely Richard : Love (2014)
-          3rd full length.
-          Significantly more approachable track from the usually more spacey, jammy, ambient dark rock band.

Lushes : Feastin : What Am I Doing (2012)
-          2014 re-release of their debut full length.
-          Brooklyn based guitar and drums band.
-          Post-rock with lots of looping.

Tobacco : Father Sister Berzerker : Ultima II Massage (2014)
-       First single from forthcoming album.
-       Side project of leader of Black Moth Super Rainbow, Tom Vec
-       Very odd brand of electronic, psych and rock.

-       Debut full length… Long awaited to say the very least.
-       One of the most buzzed about bands at CMJ 2012.

The Dirty Banks : Table Tennis (2014)

-       Bouncy, catchy, psych pop. Reminds me a bit of Modest Mouse and the Pixies (pre-Indie Cindy)

Pink Mountaintops : Ambulance City : Get Back (2014)
-       4th album.
-       A more garage-leaning outfit from Black Mountain’s Stephen McBean.

-          Manic and energetic big band sound.

Frightened Rabbit – The Work (w/ Archie Fisher) - A Frightened Rabbit EP (2011)
-          This is a tour-only EP for their current run with Death Cab For Cutie.
-          This is one of their greatest tracks, in my opinion. Why hide it away on a tour-only release?
-          4 albums out.
-          Organ Fight is their best to date.
-          Scottish accent stands out, but there seems to be something more than that to his vocals and make them truly unique.

Kurt Vile - The Creature - So Outta Reach EP (2011)
-          Latest release. 4th LP was out earlier in 2011.
-          dreamy pop rock with vocals that bring up thoughts of Devendra Banhart

-          Side project from The War on Drugs' lead guitarist.

Ben Folds – Amelia Bright – The Best Imitation of Myself: A Retrospective (2011)
-          This is a best of/radio program special release that features a handful of unreleased tracks.
-          This is one of my favorite tracks from Folds and I’ve ever had a live recording of it, so I am pretty excited to share this studio version.
