-       2nd of 2 albums.
-       Lush Portland indie folk.
-       RIYL Blithe Field.

Natural Child : Out In The Country : Dancin’ With Wolves (2014)
-          4th full length album.
-          Also contributed to a brilliant Burger Records tribute compilation album covering Velvet Underground’s White Light/White Heat.
-          Their southern rock drawl is makes for an incredibly enjoyable take on the title track.
-          SXSW 2014.



Benjamin Booker : Have You Seen My Son? (2012)
-       The lone single I’ve found from him.
-       Sounds like it’s even just demo quality, but the potential for something good is definitely there.
-       SXSW 2014



Yellow Ostrich : Any Wonder : Cosmos (2014)
-          3rd (maybe 4th?) album.
-          Led by Alex Schaaf.
-          A little more Racounteurs/Brendan Benson rock feel to this track.

Sun Kil Moon : I Love My Dad : Benji (2014)
-          6th LP
-          First Sun Kil Moon proper album since 2012’s superb LP, Among the Leaves.
-          Led by the most wonderfully sleepy vocals of Mark Kozelek.

Elbow : Fly Boy Blue/Lunette : The Taking Off and Landing of Everything (2014)
-          6th album
-          UK band that has previously won the Mercury Prize for best UK album



Lady Lamb the Beekeeper : Girl Named Alex (Kurt Vile cove r) (2014)
-          Covering a stand out track from SXSW 2014 performer Kurt Vile’s great 2013 album.



Dustin Tebbutt : The Breach : The Breach EP
-       Debut EP
-       Big Bon Iver/James Vincent McMorrow folk sound.



Kishi Bashi : Bright Whites : 151a (2012)
-       Debut full length. Plus 2 EPs and a box set of singles.
-       Multi-instrumentalist that plays with Regina Spektor and of Montreal.
-       SXSW 2014



Fletcher C. Johnson : Send Me Your Love : Salutations (2012)
-       2nd album. Made a significant number of best of '12 lists despite its small release.
-       He is quickly becoming one of my favorite go-to good mood musicians.

The Growl : Liarbird : What Would Christ Do?? (2013)
-       Debut album.
-       Heavier rocking offshoot of the brilliant indie psych rockers, Tame Impala.

The Garden : Crystal Clear (2013)
-       Latest single, but their BandCamp shows 3 LPs and one EP.
-       Raw post-punk like Big Ups.
-       Produced by someone I usually despise, Ariel Pink.

Girl Band : Heckle the Frames : Lawman 7” (2014)
-          Latest single from punk rockers out of Ireland.
-          Debut EP, France 98, was out in 2012.
-          One of the more exciting and exhilarating punk rock songs I’ve heard in a long time.
