-          By far my favorite song from Woods.
-          Brooklyn folk band.



Mark McGuire : In Search of the Miraculous : Along the Way (2014)
-          Debut full length after at least 8 minor releases. All available on his BandCamp.
-          Plays very jammy, elaborate, psychedelic guitar tracks.
-          Guitarist for the band the Emeralds.
-          SXSW 2014



The Casket Girls : Same Side : True Love Kills the Fairy Tale (2014)
-          2nd full length. Debut was 2013’s Sleepwalking.
-          Gorgeously dark and fuzzy, slow-burning pop.
-          Project captained by Ryan Graveface of Black Moth Super Rainbow, Dreamend and Graveface Records. Features his standard eerie vibes.
-          SXSW 2014



Los Angeles Police Department : Waste (2014)
-          Latest single.
-          Lazily rolling rock.



Each Other : Send Your Signals : Being Elastic (2014)
-          Debut full length.
-          Previously released some singles that are available on their BandCamp.

-          7th studio album.
-          Recorded with the help of the Black Keys’ Patrick Carney and blues and soul man Charles Bradley.

-          Forthcoming Record Store Day release.
-          Prolific San Fran garage psych from John Dwyer.
-          Their latest, Floating Coffin , is one of the best psych rock albums of 2013.

-          Latest single from a yet to be named forthcoming summer album.
-          Raw, raucous, in your face garage rock.

J Roddy Walston and the Business : Brave Man's Death : J Roddy Walston and the Business (2010)
-          2nd album or 6. Their latest was 2013's soul-infused Essential Tremors.
-          Baltimore band
-          Rock and roll feel to some of the tracks
-          Makes me think of Dr. Dog here.

-          Debut single.
-          Darker folk band San Francisco.

Courtney Barnett : Anonymous Club : The Double EP: A Sea of Split Peas (2013)
-          Release of her first two EPs.
-          Alt-indie rock that makes me think of Petty, Dylan and Joan Osborne.
-          25 year old from Australia.



Withered Hand : Horseshoe : New Gods (2014)
-          2nd LP. Debut was 2009’s Good News
-          Also had an excellent debut EP in 2008, Religious Songs.
-          SXSW 2014



Damaged Bug : Eggs At Night : Hubba Bubba (2014)
-          Solo debut album.
-          Solo moniker for Thee Oh Sees frontman John Dwyer.
-          Less amped up and aggressive, synth-heavy psych rock weirdness.



Slasher Flicks : Little Fang : Enter the Slasher House (2014)
-          Debut album.
-          Solo project from Animal Collective’s Avey Tare.
