-          Debut album.
-          First official single came out in 2010.
-          Blues and soul singer songwriter.

Courtney Barnett : History Eraser : The Double EP: A Sea of Split Peas (2013)
-          Release of her first two EPs.
-          Alt-indie rock that makes me think of Petty, Dylan and Joan Osborne.
-          25 year old from Australia.
-          CMJ 2013



Wooden Wand & the World War IV : Someday This Child Will Die : Wooden Wand & the World War IV (2013)
-       2nd album of 2013.
-       Blood Oaths of the New Blues is still one of the year’s most impressive releases.



Kurt Vile : Feel My Pain : Wakin On A Pretty Daze: it's a big world out there (and i am scared) EP (2013)
-       Deluxe re-release of his incredible 5th album. Added and bonus EP.
-       Former guitarist for the War On Drugs.
-       The opening track on this album, 'Wakin on a Pretty Day,' might be the year's best so far.
-       He said he was inspired by the album Tusk when making this album.



Papa : I Am The Lion King : Tender Madness (2013)
-       Debut full length (FINALLY).
-       Led by the drummer of Girls.
-       Responsible for some of the most undeniably catchy songs of the past two years.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. : Dark Water : The Speed of Things (2013)
-       2nd full length. Right off the heels of its teaser Patterns EP.
-       Their 2010 debut EP garnered them a lot of good reviews.

-          One of three minor releases leading up to their 2013 debut LP, Blame Confusion.
-          Montreal post-punk rock band.. Think Japandroids with less shouting.

-          Debut was a big critical hit at the end of 2012.
-          Guitarist from the Fresh & Onlys.
-          On the continually more impressive label, Sacred Bones.



Menomena : The Pelican : Friend and Foe (2007)
-          3rd album of 5.
-          One of the greatest albums created in my time as a lover of music.
-          Playing CMJ 2013
-          One of the most innovative bands going. Even after Brent Knopf left to form Ramona Falls.



Son Lux : Rising : We Are Rising (2011)
-          2nd full length. 3rd, Lanterns, is out Tuesday.
-          Project led by Ryan Lott. Collaborator with Sufjan Stevens and Arcade Fire.



Frog Eyes : Claxxon’s Lament : Carey’s Cold Spring (2013)
-          8th album.
-          Eclectic and innovative alt indie rock band led by Carey Mercer.
-          Spencer Krug (Sunset Rubdown, Wolf Parade, Moonface) was a former member.
-          Most similar to the sound of Sunset Rubdown.



Ezra Furman : Day of the Dog : Day of the Dog (2013)
-          5th album.
-          Formerly went by Ezra Furman and the Harpoons.
-          Playing CMJ 2013
