The Tallest Man On Earth : Sagres : Dark Bird Is Home (2015)
-          4th album.
-          Swedish singer/songwriter Kristian Matsson
-          Powerful voice and bringing in the fullness of a War On Drugs LP.
-          2008 self-titled debut was very well received.

Leon Bridges : Lisa Sawyer (2015)
-          3rd single out.
-          Very promising vintage soul and blues singer just getting started.
-          Only two other singles out apart from this.
-          Signed to Columbia Records with only 2 songs out. Explains his extreme publicity.
-          SXSW 2015

James Vincent McMorrow : We Don't Eat : Early In the Morning (2011)
-          Debut full length.
-          This guy's music could pass as Bon Iver's
-          He seems to make no bones about his affinity for Justin Vernon… he even titles some of his songs like those of Vernon.
-          SXSW 2015

Waxahatchee : Under A Rock : Ivy Tripp (2015)
-          3rd full length.
-          Her 2nd album, 2013's Cerulean Salt, was one of the year's best.
-          Project from Kate Crutchfield. Twin sister of Swearin's Allison Crutchfield.
-          Debut was lo-fi and a rougher DIY style album.
-          SXSW 2015

Heavy Plains : What It Is : Heavy Plains (2015)
-          Debut LP.
-          Wiener Records.
-          A bit of a Built To Spill sound just a bit fuzzier.

-          2nd album.
-          Garage/folk supergroup featuring Deer Tick's John McCaualey, Ian Saint Pe of the Black Lips and Hardy Morris from Dead Confederate.
-          Their name is a play on the phase ‘I’m on drugs.’

-          Debut EP
-          Remind me a bit of the Strokes.
-          Burger Records spinoff label Wiener Records' band.

Frog Eyes : A Flower In A Glove : Paul's Tomb: A Triumph (2010)
-          7th of 8 albums.
-          Led by Carey Mercer.
-          A harsher, more manic sound than Krug’s other groups, but I think you can see him fitting in quite well with this act.
-          One of my most highly anticipated bands of SXSW 2015.
