-          One of the best bands of the 2000's

Rye Pines : Atlantic Ascent : Dead Ocean EP (2015)
-          First release since their debut LP, A Portrait of Dissonance As A Young Man.
-          Ironically has a big 90's/00's Pacific NW vibe.
-          RIYL Built To Spill and early Modest Mouse.
-          Boston band.

Diamond Rugs : Voodoo Doll : Cosmetics (2015)
-          2nd album.
-          Garage/folk supergroup featuring Deer Tick's John McCaualey, Ian Saint Pe of the Black Lips and Hardy Morris from Dead Confederate.
-          Their name is a play on the phase ‘I’m on drugs.’
-          SXSW 2015

Mr. Airplane Man : Sun Sinking Low : Long Lost (2014)
-          Album of unreleased tracks.
-          Along with the White Stripes, they were one of the bands leading the punk/blues duos of the early 2000's.
-          3 full lengths out as well.

Algiers : Blood : Blood 7"(2012)
-          First single
-          Just released their first track from their forthcoming debut in Jan 2015.
-          Only 2 singles out previously.
-          My newest, biggest and hardest band crush.

EMA : Cthulu : The Future’s Void (2014)
-          3rd album.
-          2011’s Past Life Martyred Saints gained her mounds and mounds of critical and indie praise.

Bop English : Dani's Blues (It Was Beyond Our Control) : Constant Bop (2015)
-          Solo debut LP from White Demin's James Petralli.
-          Like the old, bouncy, fun White Denim albums.

Twerps : Stranger : Range Anxiety (2015)
-          2nd album. 2 2014 Eps as well.
-          Australian easy, spacey indie pop.
-          Newer songs have featured more singers.

Logan Hyde : Bloated : Innocence (2015)
-          Debut album from Youth Lagoon guitarist.
-          You can hear the swirling, hypnotic sounds like that found on Youth Lagoon's music.
-          Youth Lagoon's Wondrous Bughouse was one of 2013's best albums.

Moon Duo : Slow Down Low : Shadow of the Sun (2015)
-          3rd LP
-          This is by far their most catchy track to date.
-          Features Ripley Johnson of Wooden Shjips and Sanae Yamada.

The Babies : Get Old : Our House On the Hill Outtakes (2015)
-          A single featuring two unreleased tracks from their 2012 2nd album.
-          Made up of former Woods, now solo, Kevin Morby and Vivian Girls Cassie Ramone.

The Districts : Funeral Beds : The Districts EP (2014)
-          Debut EP, out in Jan 2014.
-          Debut LP is due out in Feb of 2015.
-          Remind me of a combo of Mumford and Sons (in a good way) and Lucero.
-          SXSW 2015.

Hiss Golden Messenger : Southern Grammar (Live on WXPN) : Southern Grammar EP (2015)
-          Follow up EP to his excellent 4th and most polished album.
-          3rd album, Bad Debt, was their latest and most stripped back, almost demo quality, warm tracks.
-          ‘Jesus Shot Me In the Head’ is their highlight track to date.

Matthew E. White : Tranquility : Fresh Blood (2015)
-          2nd album.
-          2012's Big Inner was one of that year's best albums.
-          Gospel, blues, folk musician out of Virginia.

Gregory Alan Isakov : The Trapeze Swinger (Iron & Wine cover) (2014)
-          Cover done for one of my favorite blogs, I Am Fuel, You Are Friends.
-          5th album, The Weatherman, was one of 2013's best.
-          More traditional-leaning folk singer-songwriter.
