The Unknown & Unheard Show 198!

Stream & Download The U & U Show 198 Right Here, Right Now! (Download) The Hold Steady – Stevie Nix - Separation Sunday (2005) - 3rd full length. - First since 2008’s Stay Positive. - This is one of the best bands we are lucky enough to enjoy in their prime. Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Deerhunter – Memory Boy – Halcyon Digest (2010) - 4th full length, out September 28th. - Hugely popular Indie rock band led by Bradford Cox Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Paul Cary - Iryna - Ghost of a Man (2010) - Dirty southern blues. - RIYL Black Keys and Seasick Steve - DOWNLOAD THIS ALBUM FOR FREE HERE! MySpace : HypeMachine Neil Young – Hitchhiker – Le Noise (2010) - CD/DVD out September 28th - Think Crazy Horse not CSNY. - Reuniting with Buffalo Springfield as well. Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Grinderman – Bellringer Blues - Girnderman 2 (2010) - 2nd album from the harder rockin' side project from Nick Cave and some Bad Seeds. - Nick Cave is someone who grows on me more and more with every listen. - I hope the entire album sounds as sinister, aggressive and cool as this track. Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Adam Haworth Stephens - Praises in Your Name – We Live on Cliffs (2010) - Solo debut out Sept 28th - Guitarist and lead singer of Two Gallants. - Tyson Vogel, the drummer from Two Gallants, also released a solo album. He goes by The Devotionals. Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine White Denim - champ - last day of summer (2010) - Impromptu album of demos. - Download for free right now! - This album features a much more stripped back feel. Almost the entire album is acoustic. Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Luke Doucet and the White Falcon - Hey Now - Steel City Trawler (2010) - Makes me think a lot of Ike Reilly just not quite as much polish and flair. - Huge mash up of styles, but primarily focused around southern barroom style rock. Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Ike Reilly Assassination – When Irish Eyes are Burning – We Belong to the Staggering Evening (2007) - 4th album and his best. Has 6 total. - Reilly is one artist that I think would be a blast to see live. His songs already sound like they were recorded in a rowdy, smoky bar (kind of like Lucero). - He always has top notch lyrics. Witty and funny and fits perfectly with the broad range of usually upbeat styles he plays. - After first listen it has a few solid tracks, but not quite as consistent as his previous work. Too much polish! (that is one of the biggest hurdles for me when it comes to liking an album) Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Vincent Minor - Pin Drop Silence - Vincent Minor (2010) - Debut album. - The majority of the album makes me think of Ben Folds. - The main reason this song made it on the shot might be my love for Nightswimming by REM. Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Azure Ray - On and On Again - Drawing Down the Moon (2010) - 4th album. Debut out in 2001 - Female dream pop/folk duo - They are both in the band Now It’s Overhead as well. Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Sufjan Stevens - Futile Devices - The Age of Adz (2010) - Forthcoming full length. - He has previously mentioned that he’s lost faith in the idea of the album b/c of pre-release leaks of music stealing the thunder and significance of setting a release date for an album. - BUY TIX NOW for his just announced tour as well. - Less of a popular/radio friendly album and more of Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Your Youth - Small Sparks - Aloha (2010) - Debut EP - RIYL Surfer Blood or Japandroids Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine
