Death Cab For Cutie – The New Year - Transatlanticism (2003)
- Originally a side project of Ben Gibbard, but his first cassette release (You Can Play These Songs with Chords) was such a success he decided to expand the project.
- Opening track on their 5th (of 6) studio album.
- Take their name from the song of the same name by The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, a brittish 60’s band. The song actually is featured in the Beatle’s film Magical Mystery Tour.
- Prior to their 2004 signing with Atlantic records they were one of the best and most successful independent bands in the country.
