- Missed this band completely, but after seeing them live I am totally sold on them
- The lead singer’s shrill unique way of singing makes her more of an instrument than a reciter of lyrics.
- Biggest pleasant surprise of the weekend.

- Debut album
- Pronounced ‘parlour’.
- Originally out in 2008… re-released this year.
- 2nd album is forthcoming.
- Wolf Parade/Suckers anthem feel.
- I didn’t even have to wait for the vocals to cast my vote of approval as this track had me smiling within seconds of hitting play.

- One of my favorite bands and they snuck an album out on me!
- Incredibly catchy band from western Canada.

Voxhaul Broadcast - Rotten Apples - Rotten Apples (2007)

- This track has a driving anthem feel and is somewhat reminiscent of the Kings of Leon (minus the sell out side).

The Black Angels - Sunday Afternoon – Phosphene Dream (2010)
- 3rd album from the ominous psych rockers.
- Formed in 2004 in Austin, TX
- Interesting feel to it… similar to some of the Black Keys more eerie songs
- Debut Self Titled EP was released in 2005. 2nd full length out in 2008

- The majority of the album makes me think of Ben Folds.
- The main reason this song made it on the shot might be my love for Nightswimming by REM.
