- Powerful voice.

- Debut Full length. 3 singles out as well.
- Psychedelic ‘70s folk.
- Reminds me of White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane.
- BandCamp might be the greatest site for music in years. It offers artists and clean and simple presentation of their music. You could seriously get lost on here for days and days.

- Debut Full length
- Great sound captured here. Makes you think of T. Rex, Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes.
- Sweet music video for this track too.
Bare Wires - Back On The Road - Cheap Perfume (2012)
- 3rd album.
- T. Rex styled, fuzzy, rolling, raunchy 70’s rock.
The King Khan Experience - Hammer Ich Vermisse Dich - The King Khan Experience (2011)
- Latest solo album. Been a long time coming.
- Long time collaborator with Marc Sultan (AKA the BBQ Show)
- One of my all-time favorite artists. The Supreme Genius of King Khan and His Shrines is one of the greatest albums.
- This one is in all German I believe.
Donkeys - Don't Know Who We Are - Born With Stripes (2011)
- 3rd full length.
- Super catchy rolling track.
- Makes me think of These United States.

- Been working on solo stuff as well as the Monsters of Folk.

- Latest full length.
- Sam Beam: Singer/Songwriter from Florida
- Graduated from Florida State Film School with a Masters and for a while was a professor of Cinematography at Miami International University.
- All his music is great to hear on vinyl.
The Head and the Heart – Rivers and Roads - The Head and the Heart (2011)
- Debut album.
- Folk rock that amps up into something like Mumford & Sons who exploded last year.
- Didn’t hear about a band more from this past SXSW.

- New York angular alt-rock band led by one of the most insane people on the planet, Tim Harrington
- Possibly the best live band I’ve ever seen… primarily thanks to Harrington

Cloud Cult - The Strength - Forces of the Unseen - Light Chasers (2010)
- 7th full length.
- Led by environmentalist Craig Minowa
- A band that’s been interesting and influential indie pop since 1995.
- I reference this band a lot when talking about newer bands taking on this style because these guys are so good at it!
- This is bigger rock sound than I've ever heard from them by far.

- They also had a hand in the production of the ‘Dark Was The Night’ compilation.

The Black Angels – Telephone – Phosphene Dream (2010)
- 3rd album from the ominous psych rockers.
- Formed in 2004 in Austin, TX
- Interesting feel to it… similar to some of the Black Keys more eerie songs
- Debut Self Titled EP was released in 2005. 2nd full length out in 2008

Queens of the Stone Age - Better Living Through Chemistry - Rated R (Deluxe Reissue) (2000/2010)
- 2nd album
- Influential dirty aggressive west coast rock lead by Josh Homme (also responsible for Eagles of Death Metal)
- Reissue comes with a 2nd disc of bonus material.

- Forthcoming 4th album in 4 yrs
- Their debut was one that I immediately latched onto, but it took a re-release to drive up the following this band deserves.
- Jesse Elliot, lead singer, writes some fantastic lyrics to go along with the layered Americana progressions.
- This is about the most poppy they've ever sounded.

Frontier Ruckus - Mona and Emmy - Unreleased (2010)
- They played this on their recent DayTrotter Session.
- 2 albums out.
- Mellow folk sound.

- Rich, easy going tropical feel to this track.

Frightened Rabbit - Son C (2010)
- Latest single released to the band's mailing list.
- This band had a lot of hype from the start, and that combined with a ‘far from album best’ first single pushed me away at first, but the deeper I dug into this album the more I was blown away
- Scottish accent stands out, but there seems to be something more than that to his vocals and make them truly unique.

Menomena – Tithe - Mines (2010)

- Lackthereof and Ramona Falls are side projects that have had releases since the last Menomena album
- Ultra-creative song writing. No one comes close to the sound they make. Layers and layers of instruments and vocals.
