The Unknown & Unheard Show 209! Let's Be Independent Together!

Stream & Download The U & U Show 209 Right Here, Right Now! (MediaFire) Tom Waits – Step Right Up – Small Change (1976) - 4th album from one of music’s most prolific artists - This is my annual sarcastic tribute to the American Christmas… there is not a song more fitting. Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine : Live Video of Song (Brilliant) Sufjan Stevens –Sister Winter– Songs For Christmas - Sufjan is a unique artist and without many people knowing has produced roughly fifty great… not the same old… Christmas songs - My personal favorite Sufjan Christmas original. - You will not hear a Christmas song like this in Macy’s… and that’s a good thing! Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Danielson - Grow Up - Best of Gloucester County (2011) - Forthcoming 8th album and first since 2006 - Experimental folk band in the same vein as Sufjan Stevens. - Features Daniel Smith. Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Bonnie ' Prince' Billy & the Cairo Gang - Troublesome Houses - The Wonder Show of the World (2010) - Stripped back folk as to be suspected with any Bonnie release - Collaborating with Emmett Kelly here. He's the leader of the Cairo Gang. Official Site : Amazon : HypeMachine Sean Hayes - Gunnin' - Run Wolves Run (2010) - 6th album. - This track reminds me a little of one of my favorites by Langhorne Slim, 'I Love To Dance'. - The background singers are outstanding and make you want to sing right along. Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine The Shivers - Shallow Water - Sunset Psalms (2010) - Sounds like a Lennon track off Plastic Ono Band. MySpace : HypeMachine Bright Eyes – Shell Game – The People’s Key (2011) - Forthcoming 10th studio album. First since 2007! Will be released on his birthday on Feb 15th. - Led by Conor Oberst. - He has worked on his Monsters of Folk and Conor Oberst & the Mystic Valley Band projects since the last Bright Eyes’ album. Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Tapes 'n Tapes - Freak Out - Outside (2011) - Forthcoming 3rd full length. Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Lumineers - Submarines - The Lumineers EP (2010) - Debut EP - One of my favorite Google search results. MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Meursault - Crank Resolutions - All Creatures Will Make Merry (2010) - 2nd album - Scottish band that immediately reminds you of their fellow countrymen, Frightened Rabbit. - I love the constantly building pace of this track. MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Wild Nothing - Chinatown - Gemini (2010) - Debut full length - Receiving a huge amount of praise this year. MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Birds of Avalon - Invasion - Birds of Avalon (2010) - 3rd album - Huge Led Zeppelin sound with a touch of Portugal, The Man. Official Site : MySpace : Amazon : HypeMachine Frog Eyes - The Sensitive Girls - Paul's Tomb: A Triumph (2010) - New release from a former Spencer Krug project. - A harsher, more manic sound than Krug’s other groups, but I think you can see him fitting in quite well with this act.
