- They have an enjoyably off-kilter, layered brand of folk, but this album is supposed to be a touch more electronic.
- Sufjan Stevens might be their closest musical relative... that's good lineage if you ask me!

- Very well received album.
- Remind me a good deal of Lucero and their bar room style of rock/southern rock.

- Wolf Parade/Suckers anthem feel.
- I didn’t even have to wait for the vocals to cast my vote of approval as this track had me smiling within seconds of hitting play.

Ryan Adams – Lovely and Blue – Cardinals III/IV (2010)
- Brand new double album.
- Recorded in 2006 but never released
- He says it’s the best Cardinals album. The First 2 were quite good, but were followed by a couple crappy mainstream efforts.
- This is one of my all-time favorite artists. I hope this is a return to form.

- Solo project from John O'Regan, the lead singer of the D'Urbervilles (they have a fantastic cover of Timber Timbre's 'Magic Arrow'!)
- Reminds me a lot of the leading indie pop bands... Belle & Sebastian, Bishop Allen, Etc.
