Benjy Ferree – Great Scott – Come Back To The Five And Dime Bobby Dee, Bobby Dee (2008)
- 2nd album
- Concept album inspired by Bobby Driscoll, the boy who played Peter Pan for Disney in the 40’s & 50’s
- After hearing a couple old time pop songs (‘Fear’) I wasn’t expecting to hear a track like this one… sounds like it could be found on a Raconteur’s record.

The Kills – Fried My Little Brains – Keep Me On Your Mean Side (2003)
- full length debut from this Detroit dirty grunge rock duo
- latest album was out in 2008, ‘Midnight Boom’

Iron & Wine – Free Until They Cut Me Down – Norfolk 6/20/05 (Live Record Store Day Release)
- recorded prior to his latest album and features slightly more focused songs, as opposed the almost jammy ‘Sheppard’s Dog’ collection.
- Sam Beam is the man behind this musical moniker
- He favored lo-fi recordings early on in his career (probably b/c they went so well with his spare compositions)

Death Cab For Cutie – I Was Once A Loyal Lover – The Open Door EP (2009)

Thank you for including Death Cab for Cutie! I know for some people they are the poster child for emo rock and most people are sick of it, but really you just can't deny their talent! They write some amazing songs! Anyway, this EP makes me incredibly excited for their new LP!
