Tom Waits : Take One Last Look : Late Show with David Letterman (2015)
-          New song played as a sendoff for Dave's final run of shows.
-          Started mellow, soulful and jazz-leaning, but has slowly turned more alternative and weirder.
-          One of the greatest of the great musicians over the past 50 years.



Spoon : TV Set : Poltergeist OST (2015)
-          Cover of the Cramps.
-          Perfect band and style for Spoon to take on in a cover.
-          8th album was out in 2015.
-          First album since the band found success teaming up with Dan Boeckner in the Divine Fits.
-          One of the most prominent and critically acclaimed indie bands of the past 20 years.

 

Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats : I Need Never Get Old : Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats (2015)
-          First single from the finally announced debut LP.
-          His previous work without the Night Sweats was much more mellow folk.
-          Brilliant live performer with either of his bands.



Sheer Mag : Hard Lovin : 7" EP (2015)
-          Debut EP. 2nd EP available on BandCamp.
-          Latest single, Button Up, is their best song to date.
-          Awesome blend of punk and catchy vintage rock and roll.
-          One of the best bands at SXSW 2015.



Thee Oh Sees : Sticky Hulks : Mutilator Defeated At Last (2015)
-          Latest LP.
-          Prolific San Fran garage psych from John Dwyer.
-          Their last 2 LPs, Floating Coffin and Drop, were two of the best of the past 2 years.
-          One of the best SXSW 2015 bands.



Nap Eyes : Dark Creedence : Whine of the Mystic (2014)
-          Debut LP that is being re-released this year.
-          Led by Nigel Chapman.



Peacers : R. J. D. (Salam) : Peacers (2015)
-          Debut EP.
-          Led by ex-Sic Alps member Mike Donovan.
-          Produced by Ty Segall.



Elvis Depressedly : Wastes Of Time : New Alhambra (2015)
-          Debut LP, but also has 6 other releases.
-          Most is available for whatever you want to pay via BandCamp.
-          Rough, dark, bedroom pop.
-          RIYL Allison Crutchfield's solo stuff.
-          SXSW 2015



Mutual Benefit : Slow March (demo) : Keep In Touch 7" (2015)
-          Possibly a song from a yet unannounced forthcoming release.
-          This is from a subscription series of singles.
-          Beautiful mellow electronic indie folk band with one LP out.

Moonface : Still a Criminal (a leftover track) (2015)
-          Latest track that was a leftover from his 'Julia with Blue Jeans On' LP.
-          With it's release he announced new forthcoming material.

Sun Kil Moon : Garden Of Lavender : Universal Themes (2015)
-          3rd single from recently announced new LP.
-          Released an excellent 6th album, Benji, early in 2014.
-          One of the most distinctive voices in independent music.
-          Gorgeous mellow rock with his trademark sleepy vocals.



Pattern In Movement : Save Me : Weathervane: Shaking Through EP (2015)
-          Possibly their last new song as they just announced their breakup following their current tour.
-          This is from a series of EPs documenting the recording process for bands.
-          Electronic indie pop with layered vocals that falls somewhere between Menomena and Maps & Atlases.



Shamir : In For The Kill : Ratchet (2015)
-          Debut LP. Debut EP came out in 2014.
-          Super young electronic/indie/r&b songwriter from Brooklyn.
-          Can lean towards LCD Soundsystem’s sound at times.
